Who are we?

We are a mother-daughter team dedicated to bringing you gorgeous and functional rain capes for your lifestyle.
Before creating RainCaper, Jan owned a retail store a retail store in suburban Philadelphia for more than 24 years. Jan and her daughter Lindsay loved serving our customers for 24 years. It was a wonderful and rewarding time and we enjoyed being a part of our local small business economy.
In 2015, we closed the shop. Jan developed the RainCaper brand and we saw an opportunity to transition from retail to wholesale.
Our small, family-run business is located just outside Philadelphia, and we’re proud to bring RainCaper and FurCaper to hundreds of retailers across the country. Our focus on customer service continues today as we often personally answer the phone to help in any way we can.
We love hearing from you! Please reach out to us any time. We’re here for you.
Jan & Lindsay **Please note that wholesale accounts may sell on their own websites, but

Amazon sales are not permitted.**

The Story of RainCaper

Our RainCaper fabric is silky-soft and reversible, unlike the typical plastic poncho. Realizing that a breeze could often render a traditional rain poncho ineffective, we added hidden magnets to make sleeves and reduce billowing. While shedding the rain, RainCaper is highly breathable and also an effective windbreaker on a breezy day. Weighing just 9 ounces, RainCaper is a must-have for travel and comes with a matching zippered pouch that easily snaps onto a briefcase or rolling bag.
As avid art appreciators, we reached out to the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston and licensed Maurice Prendergast’s 1899 watercolor, “Umbrellas in the Rain,” which has been a top selling RainCaper ever since. We now celebrate 10 beautiful art masterpieces in our line, with more to come . . . .
Wherever we go, we are asked about the RainCaper we are wearing. As a result, we now offer custom colors with or without logos, perfect for school spirit wear, clubs, special events, and fundraisers.
We are constantly adding new colors and designs to keep the RainCaper line fresh and fashion-forward.
